What’s in the PNP “Hero”: Marvel Comics Subscription Box?

This Marvel Box, and all our Hero Boxes, are designed for comic lovers who love reading more than collecting. In the Marvel Comics Box, you will get more comics and a guaranteed graphic novel. Things that are not always included in the Marvel Comics Adventurer Box are also available online! However, you get some of the awesome gear and fun items in the standard version. Not everything from the Adventurer Box, but a nice selection of it!

Let us know and we’ll move you on to something else, no worries!

What happens if you don’t love it?

All you do is message us via the PnP social media multiverse or via email after getting issue #1 of the series and before you get your box containing issue #2. You let us know you are not loving it and we will swap you onto another series with no problem. We’ll even try and match you to the best options as we do so.

Then, next month you will get issue #1 and #2 of the series you selected instead. It’s that easy. Just make sure you let us know before your next box is ready.

Welcome, true believers! When it comes to choosing content for the comic boxes here, we of course love the big players of Marvel. Spider-Man and Iron Man are iconic and do feature in this box as they rightly should. It’s not for us here at PnP to suggest they are not amazing…

What we will also say is: Marvel Comics has a whole universe of amazing characters beyond them. We love the Guardians of the Galaxy, Venom and all the other symbiote stories. Plus the X-Men are about to come back in a big way with Black Panther, Ms Marvel and so many other fantastic stories to enjoy here…

12+ Age rating Explained

Marvel Comics are age rated for Teens or even Teen plus. But what does that mean in the UK? Well, there are likely to be some darker themes in Marvel comics than others. They may involve some more violence and adult conversations/events than in other series.

We may include some on the Teen+ in the monthly box. While it’s not going to be anything that’s just for Adult audiences like some independent comics out there. Parental discretion is advised though if purchasing for someone under the age of 12. Particularly around violence in this case.

What is in the Marvel Comics Subscription Box: ULTIMATE Hero Edition?

Ok, now we’re getting (why so…) serious! The best thing to explain this is a quick look at our Adventurer Boxes which normally cost £39 per month, but by going ultimate you save money…

The standard Hero Box is designed around people who love READING Marvel Comics. Whereas, the Marvel Comics Adventurer Box is all about COLLECTING and getting cool merch. We include some of this in the Hero Box for you as described above.

We don’t want to spoil the surprise of what’s coming in the box, but we do want you to have a few clues! This is why our boxes all start with a Theme which will run for 3 months.

Origin Stories - Comic Book Fans Edition!

There's nothing like the start of something special. That's what's happening at Pages N' Pixels right now as our website is all shiny and new like fresh beskar armour. Or a newly crafted Batarang or even something from the realm of Asgard...

Origin stories are special to comic books and special to us, this is our focus for the first 3 monthly boxes. Each month we'll be focusing on three different types of characters:

• March: Heroes - Of course, we can't call them Hero or Adventurer boxes without celebrating the good guys! Here we celebrate the protagonists, heroes and even groups of heroes fighting for what's right!
• April: Anti-Heroes - So, you can't have a great hero without an equally great, if not even better, villain! Celebrate the nasty, deranged or completely insane bad guys.
• February: Anti-Heroes - It's not easy to be good, and not every hero wants to be good all the time! Sometimes you need someone to be almost as bad as the villain to save the day!

Now, time to see how you can sign up and pay for your boxes. While this is super easy month-to-month, you can take advantage of subscribing every 3 or 6 months and saving on each box as a result…

Pay Upfront and Save or Pay Monthly

We want to make things as easy as possible, but for us it's super helpful if you want to pay for more boxes up-front since we can order things in larger quantities sooner!

This means we pass the savings back to you! You can get a saving of (slightly more than...) a free box a year.

• Pay every 6 months - Get the saving equivalent to one free box a year (it's actually a bit more than that!) by paying for 6 boxes upfront.
• Pay every 3 months - Choose this one and save (over) half a box in costs per year by paying 3 boxes upfront.
• Month-to-month payments - Want to take it one box at a time? Go for this option and keep it simple, you can always change this anytime and pay for more in one go later.

How will I be charged and when will my box arrive?

To make matters easier all around, we will take your payment on the 1st of the month on your payment month, how often will depend on your frequency selected on the page.

Orders will be looked at by PNP Legends and we'll organise your content throughout the month from the best options we can get into stock!

Boxes will be prepared between the 21st and 24th of the month, dispatched to arrive a few working days later.

Why? Firstly, this was best for general payday management based on feedback from our survey. It also allows us just over half a month for new people to sign up and enjoy the content without waiting even longer since they will all go out at the same time.

Being a small, independent comic book shop it also helps us organise everything for you and give you that personal touch! If you want to swap to a different comic series you can request a swap. And if we want to offer you some additional choices you can get them.

You can even swap your box to another option and pay the difference!
